Center for Immigration Studies Case Study

In October 2006, the Center for Immigration Studies hired the polling company™, inc. to conduct a multi-pronged quantitative research project on American voters’ opinions on topics relating to immigration (both legal and illegal) and U.S. policy and enforcement.  The project included a national survey of likely voters, four statewide surveys, and 10 polls in United States Congressional districts.

The surveys probed voters’ knowledge, attitudes, and opinions on the level of immigration in America (both legal and illegal), the problems associated with a large undocumented population, proposed immigration policy, and preferred enforcement methods.

the polling company™, inc. presented the results at a press conference at the National Press Club on October 16, 2006.  Kellyanne Conway conducted several interviews and media appearances on behalf of CIS to discuss the results.  The findings of the study were picked up by several national and international media organizations including print, electronic, television, and radio outlets.
