Performance Health Technologies Case Study

To aid this client in the development of a new bio-feedback exercise/ rehabilitation product, the polling company, inc. conducted three nationwide telephone surveys among unique populations identified as targets by the client including: sufferers of chronic back pain, runners, and pregnant women/new moms in 2005.  The surveys tested the aspects of the product consumers perceived most appealing, likelihood of purchasing, expected retailers, and price threshold.  Respondents were also probed to express any hesitations about the product and asked to reveal the conditions under which they might actually make a purchase.

In 2006 the client decided to tailor the product to a different group of core consumers: stroke survivors.  PHT again retained the services of the polling company, inc., this time to conduct a telephone survey of stroke survivors.  The survey asked respondents about their rehabilitation and recovery routines and probed them on the ways in which this new product might be helpful.
